Controversial book to stay on reading list
We read this book in most of my classes this past year. Why is it that the best books are the most censored? Is it because most books which contain nothing that anyone would ever object to are, as a result, not worth reading?

Corona didn’t make the list. But at least Desert Vista didn’t either. Interestingly, several schools that I tried to get hired at DID make the list (i.e. North Canyon, Pinnacle, Horizon, Chaparral, Desert Mountain).

Requiem Metal Podcast
I’ve mentioned this to my metalhead students. This is the metal podcast co-hosted by my old friend Jason (a social studies teacher in Michigan). I don’t listen. I don’t like metal. But if you do, this is probably really good stuff.

This was a notorious 1992 Subaru commerical. Nirvana’s Nevermind was a phenomenon at the time, so, naturally, Subaru figured people would also love a punk rock car, as well. This actor, Jeremy Davies, is now on Lost, BTW. He, of course, looks like a kid here.
